Yesterday morning we met our friends Steve & Linda & Ted & Adeline for breakfast at the Hideaway. Each February we calendar a "date" together. This year, due to busy schedules, we opted for a breakfast date. (usually it is a dinner date) As you can see from the photo several of us had the delicious breakfast burritos while others chose the granola with fruit and yogurt. I brought a couple of decorations along to create some atmosphere. We girls always bring gifts for each other and, depending on the year, sometimes the guys even come prepared to read poetry to us. Although we have known each other for over 20 years this event of ours has only existed for the past 7. These are some of our dearest friends. When we get together our conversations are interesting and lively. We catch up on all our family members, talk politics, and share our reviews of local events and the latest movies. We all are blessed with good friends. This month schedule a date to get together with yours.
