So I was in the line at the post office today. There was an older woman in front of me and another woman came up to her and started a conversation. (as close as we all were it was impossible not to hear it) The woman in front of me was asking the other if she still lived in her house. "Yes" she replied, we've been in that house 53 years -- and you?" The woman in front of me said, "I'm still in our house -- it's been 50 years and I love it. I can't do as much in the yard but still do some." The other woman asked, "are you alone or is your husband with you?" The woman in front of me replied, "that Glenn had been gone 16 years...16 years."
Love Month is about making loving memories with the people you care about, the people you are thankful for. It will be those memories that will shine brightly within us when times get challenging as they often do. May you keep your "love tank" (see the 5 Love Languages) full always and may you have enough to help fill others.
