This is my bestie. She's loving on her granddaughter Jade. For those of you who have grandparents that are living -- do you keep in touch? Do you express appreciation for their devotion to you? Are you able to spend quality time getting to really know them? I was talking to a fellow grandma this week. She told me about a tradition she started nearly 10 years ago. During Love Month she sends Valentine's to her grandchildren and invites them to have a special day together at her home. She makes a fun lunch for them, has games (and gives out prizes!) and sometimes she includes a sleepover. Now while this is going on with her grandchildren their parents are enjoying a group date together. This event is so popular that her grandchildren now call her to ask when she is planning their party so they can clear their schedule. How FUN!
