Food for Thought via blog.cjanerun.com
There are lots and lots of blogs out in the cyber world. I have a love/hate relationship with many of them. The authors are indulgent. It's all about them and you get to listen in. Every now and then though you pick up some words of wisdom, some insights which can be thought provoking. This past week C.Jane was writing and reflecting on her past loves and I want to share her realizations for you to ponder.
(1) We think we go from partner to partner because there will be someone "better" for us. In reality, no one is better for us, we just get better ourselves.
(2) Relationships work best when we sacrifice negative beliefs about ourselves, and in that process we become the best thing that's ever happened to anyone.
(3) A successful marriage is about two people engaged and dedicated to overcoming selfishness -- for the rest of their lives.
