In the story, The Polar Express, the main character is hand picked by Santa to receive the first gift of Christmas. It is quite a privilege as the boy can choose anything he wants. His choice is simple and yet meaningful to him -- a bell from one of the reindeer's harnesses. I spend a lot of time searching for little gifts for my loved ones. This is not a time for junky, goofy gifts but things well chosen that impart some meaning when they are given. This new CD by Rosanne Cash gets my vote as a great LOVE month gift. This CD, her first original music in 8 years, is captivating and a tad haunting and I enjoy every single song. This gets my vote as "the FIRST gift of LOVE month."
